Dia de Los Muertos Parade float with COCO PRIZES

On November 24, 2017, the day after Thanksgiving and opening night of Disney's new movie COCO,  Hanford Multicultural Theater Company participated in the Hanford Christmas parade. We placed a Dia de Los Muertos float with items from our  Dia de Los Muertos' fundraiser event. The giant sugar skull from our event was on the float with a Santa hat! Also onboard two skeletons with Christmas lights and students from our free acting classes.  An added bonus was Disney's COCO team sending us backpacks with COCO goodies. As our float came by our Associate Artistic Director JP Rapoza would ask Disney trivia questions. If someone knew the answer, Vanessa Velasco would run to give them a Coco backpack with goodies! People who won the backpack would have tears in their eyes from happiness! Thank you Jason Geffen (Disney), Briana Gardner (Pixar), and Octavio Solis (character voice in Coco), for making our community proud and extremely happy! Forever in our hearts!
